Osborne Park hospital expansion

Intent of the artwork
The new internal road and landscaping surrounding the hospital expansion present an opportunity for a series of smaller-scale sculptural or functional landscape elements.
The scale of these artworks is intended to soften the interface between the hospital and the new roadway and may form a buffer for pedestrians within this zone. This series of sculptures will extend into the public realm between the old and new hospitals – creating a familiar touch point for visitors.
The artwork should provide moments of rest and pause at a domestic scale, potentially incorporating salvaged timber from the trees previously removed from site. The trees include Corymbia citriodora (lemon scented gum) and Corymbia calophylla (Marri). Use of the trees in the artwork is not required but is encouraged.
Specific locations for the sculptural works have not been identified within the landscaping.
