Osborne Park hospital expansion
link bridge 2d artwork/s

Intent of the artwork

The Link Bridge connects the New Clinical Building and the Logistic Services Building, across the new internal road. This is currently designed to have glazed elevations on either side.

The artwork for the link bridge will address these glazed elevations (1) through an applied, printed or etched treatment (or frit), and may extend to the cladding treatment to the underside of the bridge (2).

The artwork is intended to add visual interest to the Link Bridge, for both the staff using the bridge and for the public viewing the bridge from the road below. The artwork may also mitigate views into the bridge for patient privacy whilst in bed transit. The artwork may use colour, pattern, imagery and/or text-based applications.

The artwork should contribute to the visual connection between the two buildings and may be developed as an integrated concept with the entry work given the visual proximity of these two works.

The location provides a canvas that doesn’t impact floor space or circulation, creating an immersive experience for those passing through the bridge.
